Norwalk's real estate market continues to demonstrate solid growth with a 5.1% year-to-date price increase. The median sales price is now hovering around $775,000, reflecting steady appreciation and sustained demand in our diverse community.

Following regional trends, Norwalk experienced a brief pullback starting Memorial Day weekend, with buyer hesitancy lasting approximately a week and a half. The market quickly stabilized and finished the summer with strong sales numbers, including a notable 15% increase in sales volume compared to last year.

Interest rates have decreased to approximately 6.5% for a 30-year fixed mortgage. While rates remain a frequent topic of discussion, it's important to maintain historical perspective on current conditions.

Consider that in 2019, we saw rates as high as 5.75%. If rates continue to decline, homeowners will have the opportunity to refinance.
